Our
October Sunday Run was attended by 39 people, driving 23 cars, 8 of
which were vintage.
After
a stormy couple of days, the weather turned out to be quite fine,
although the weather was a contributing factor in the lower than usual
number of vintage cars participating.

The
route designed by Don & Dolores Stevens left the Forestry Centre
and took us along West Burnside all the way to Highway 1A. This
led us to Ocean Blvd. down to the Esquimalt Lagoon. Back up to
Metchosin Road, Wishart and into the Royal Bay subdivision. After
circling around, back onto Wishart and on to Latoria, passing the new
Royal Bay High School.
We then took another circle route through the Citadel Place
subdivision, off of Metchosin Road. Then back to Metchosin and on
to Happy Valley and Rocky Point Road. There was another loop
through Matheson Lake Park, back to Rocky Point Rd. A quick
circle through the Pedder Bay Marina and back to our destination:
Glenrosa Farm Restaurant, 5447 Rocky Point Road.

Glenrosa Farm has a rich history dating back to 1858 - it has been a
farm (the Vine and Reid families), a Tea Room and during the ownership
of the Hammond family (it has been a charming Bed & Breakfast and
now a thriving destination restaurant).
