Take
a great idea, place super organization to that idea and work with
enormous enthusiasm to complete the plan for the October 14th Sunday
Run. This was the Pumpkin Run, conceived and put together by Don and Dolores Stevens.
|
The
big plus for this Sunday was to bring young children to the tour and
allow them to have a free run at the end of tour when participants
arrived at Michell's Farm and the field of Pumpkins.
|
|

|
The
weather wasn't a big co-operator for this tour -- with significant rain
severely reducing the number of participants, having only 9 vehicles
and their passengers arriving at the regular start point. Three
additional cars joined the group at Michell's Farm.
|
The Pumpkin Pickers were:
Jane and Gordie Thomas' two nieces, Alexandra and Meghan; Rita Green's
grandson, Josh, and his friend Reed; and Don and Dolores Stevens'
great-grandchildren, Christian and Alice.

This
was a fun run for everybody who braved the first significant dampness
of the season and finished the experience with refreshments at our
reserved area at the White Spot Restaurant.
|
Thank you to Don and Dolores Stevens for this great Sunday Run.
Could it be the First Annual? |
