Our
October Sunday Run was attended by 45 people, driving 22 cars, 20 of
which were vintage.
The weather was simply delightful -- sunny and bright.
Some folks were brave enough to have their tops down!!
|
The
route left the Forestry Centre and took us along Interurban, Tillicum,
Craigflower, Old Island Hwy., Six Mile Road. Then we meandered
along Atkins Road out to Langford and Veterans Memorial Parkway.
We drove by the new City Centre Park development and the new Westhills
subdivision. We carried on back to Veterans Memorial Parkway, following
it all the way to the end; then the route worked its way out to Sooke,
via Latoria, Metchosin, Pears, Happy Valley, Rocky Point, Kangaroo and
Sooke Road.

The run ended at the
Evergreen Shopping Centre parking lot in Sooke, and participants walked
over to the Stone Pipe Grill for refreshments.
The scenery on the run was spectacular -- with the trees resplendent in
their Fall colours. Participants were also treated to the sight
of sheep, cows, deer and lots of birds along the way.

Thanks
to Al & Barb Kent for another lovely Fall run.
