The
Victoria Chapter kicked off 2012 with our Annual New Year's Day
Run. It started at the
usual place (Pacific Forestry Centre on West Burnside Road), under
bright sunny skies, albeit slightly chilly weather.
Beautiful
Victoria winter weather brought out lots of vintage cars: 34
vintage cars from our chapter and 5 from the local Tourque Masters'
Club. There were 42 members and their families and guests --
totalling approximately 90 people.

Run
organizer Brent Morrison created another interesting variation on the traditional
"round the waterfront" drive, entitled: Welcome to 2012 -- Hidden Waterways.
Some of the hidden waterways featured in the run were: Colquitz
Creek, Cecelia Creek, King's Pond on Cedar Hill Golf Course, Bowker
Creek, Hobbs Creek, Mystic Pond, Goodacre Lake, Harrison Yacht Pond and
James Bay Creek. Coffee, tea, donuts and cake were served at the Reception Centre
at McCall Bros. Funeral Home.

Thanks
to Brent
Morrison for organizing the run and the donuts. Also, thanks to all
those who helped with the serving and clean-up; especially Sue Fisher
and Pete Seward. And a big thank-you to Paul Taylor and McCall
Bros. for
the use of the facility.
And finally, a GREAT BIG
THANK YOU to all
those members who contributed to the Mustard Seed Food Bank ~ $147.00
was raised and 1 1/2 boxes of food was collected.
