May flowers and sunny skies were on display for our Mother's Day Run. Certainly a "top-down" day for some.

There
was a fairly good turn-out, 27 people, in 14 vintage cars and 4 modern cars.

Heinz
Mueller had designed a very nice, shorter drive -- taking us through
Esquimalt, over the Johnson Street Bridge and out to Saanich for our
coffee stop.
The Inner Harbour and the
downtown area was abustle with lots of folks -- out enjoying the fine
day and celebrating all things "motherhood".

The
route followed Burnside Road to Tillicum, onto Gorge Road and Admirals
Road. Then along Craigflower, back to Tillicum and onto Lampson
Street.
Up and over Rockheights,
Old Esquimalt Road, Grenville Avenue and Esquimalt Road to
Dockyard. Then across Canteen Road to Lyall Street, back to
Admirals Road, Bewdley Street, Lampson and Lyall Street again.
|
Head Street took us to Dunsmuir and Esquimalt Road, where we
crossed over the Johnson Street Bridge. Up Johnson Street to
Blanshard, then out to Cloverdale and Maple Street -- where our
destination is: Bin 4 Burger Lounge.
|

20 people stayed and had coffee, dessert or
a late lunch or an early dinner.

|
Thank you to Heinz Mueller for
another lovely Sunday Run.
