The weather cooperated perfectly for our May Sunday Run.
Despite the fact that this run was not on our regular run day, there was still a pretty
good turn-out of vintage cars: 17 vintage cars, 4 modern and 32 people.

Heinz's run followed West Burnside, Tillicum and Gorge Road West to Admirals Road. We crossed the Craigflower Bridge (known for Reena Virk's murder in 1997).

We continued on Craigflower Road, back to Tillicum Road and across the Gorge Bridge (known for the reversing falls). |
We followed Gorge Road to Bridge Street and then Bay Street -- crossing over the Point Ellice Bridge
(known for the streetcar disaster on May 25, 1896, in which 55 people
were killed -- one of the worst transit disasters in British Columbia).

Carrying along Tyee Road to Esquimalt Road and then over the new
Johnson Street Bridge (this new bridge is the largest single-leaf bascule
bridge in Canada and one of the largest in the world -- just less than 46 m).
Staying on Johnson Street, we drove through downtown, up to Blanshard Street,
then onto Cloverdale and Maple Street.
Heinz had arranged for our group to meet at the Bin 4 Burger Lounge. 26
people stopped by for refreshments and fellowship.
