Mother Nature was certainly kind to our Chapter today -- perfect "top-down weather" and perfect for a Sunday drive.
There
was a good turn-out, 36 people, in 19 vintage cars and 3 modern cars. |
Heinz had designed a very scenic drive, entitled "Through the
Woods". The "woods" in this case referred to the names of the
streets that we were driving along, as well as the drive itself,
through the forested areas of Broadmead and Cordova Bay.
Broadmead was in full bloom, with many rhododendrons and dogwoods. Lovely flowers and green lawns.
Mt. Baker was clear today, especially from the top of Cordova Bay Ridge.

The route ended up at the Med Grill in Royal Oak, where a separate section had been reserved for us.
21 people took advantage of this and stayed for refreshments and fellowship.
