It
was a bright sunny day for our March 2017 Sunday Run. The
moderate weather brought out a fairly good turnout of members.
There were 36 people participating in the run -- this included 15 vintage cars and 7 modern vehicles.
|
John
King's route took us through Broadmead, Cordova Bay, Central Saanich
farmland, around the Victoria Airport and rural parts of North
Saanich. We then wound our way back to Sidney and ended up at
Miracle Lanes, for a couple of games of 5-pin bowling.

Seven people signed up to play and it was obvious that some folks had bowled
before!! Congratulations to Les Vivian who rolled the highest
men's score (147) and to Ruby Shea who rolled the
highest women's score (165).

|
The
folks who didn't bowl, headed over to Smitty's for coffee and
refreshments. And, some folks stayed to cheer on the bowlers!!
After the competition, some of the bowlers headed over to Smitty's as
well, where they drowned their sorrows with coffee or tea, and a nice
hot meal!!
Thanks to John
King for organizing another memorable Sunday Run.
And thanks to club photographers Richard Johnson and Paul Taylor for their contributions.
