As
St. Patrick's Day was just the day before this Sunday Run, Liz and Paul
Taylor decided to use that as a theme -- hence the title: "A
Saintly Run". The objective was to either drive on "Saint"
streets or drive by various churches, hospitals or schools with "Saint"
in their name. This turned into a rather interesting run --
through the Gorge/Tillicum area, downtown, Fairfield and Oak Bay.

The weather co-operated and there was a modest turn-out of 15 vintage
cars, totalling 32 people. Participants were
treated to special green St. Patrick's Day Irish mints at the meeting
place.
Spring blossoms were very much in evidence throughout the drive,
especially on streets in Fairfield and Oak Bay.

Organizers
reported that an out-of-town guest stopped by the Forestry Centre to
view the cars before they left on tour. Our visitor was Geoff
from Calgary and he noticed our event on this website and decided to
drop by. He also shared some of the photos he took and a couple
of them are included in this report. Thank you, Geoff, and hope
to see you again soon.

The
60-minute, 17 mile tour route ended up at "O'Brannigan's" Restaurant on
Cedar Hill X Road, where most folks stopped for refreshments.
Thanks
to Liz and Paul for another interesting run.
