This was our first Sunday Run ... back after the restrictions imposed by COVID-19.
The weather co-operated -- a bit on the cool side, but fairly bright and sunny.

There was a good turnout:  21 cars, of which 15 were vintage, along with
36 people representing 22 memberships.

Folks behaved themselves and respected the social distancing rules, as much as possible.

Paul Taylor had organized an interesting run for

today -- taking in the wonderful views from the
top of Bear Mountain, as well as the peaceful
rural scenes of Metchosin.

Unfortunately, due to extremely heavy traffic backed upon the Highway 1 and Highway 1A through Colwood and Langford, the originally planned route was scrapped and Paul directed folks to exit the Pacific Forestry Centre left onto West Burnside, then onto Interurban, to West Saanich.  Then to follow this all the way to Lands End Road, near Swartz Bay.  Then ...... folks were on their own to make their way home in whatever way they pleased.

Small groups stoppped off at The Butchart Gardens, for hot chocolate and snacks, and a wander around the grounds.  Others stopped off at the Country Bee Honey Farm on West Saanich Road; and the Dairy Queen in Sidney.
