As is usually the case, the June Sunday Run falls on Father's Day, and
what could be finer than driving in an old car with your Dad!!
There were 16 vintage cars, 2 modern cars and 32 in attendance.
|
We
left the parking lot, headed out Burnside Road, through the Thetis Lake
interchange, and along the strip past the Casino. Then we veered
off, down to the Esquimalt Lagoon, back up on Lagoon Road, and
travelled out Metchosin Road to Happy Valley.
Right on Happy Valley, left on Rocky Point Road, right on East Sooke
Road and onto Gillespie Road. This brought us to Sooke Road, and
back to Colwood and the Royal Roads Cafe.

A
separate section had been reserved for the Club and 23 people settled
in to share some fellowship and a snack or an early dinner.
The weather was just about perfect for this 90 minute drive -- a true Country Tour. |
Thanks to Reg Potts and Bill Nicolson for
organizing a
great run to celebrate Father's Day.
Congratulations and Best Wishes to all the Fathers and Grandfathers! |
