On
the second Sunday, after the first Tuesday, 39 people assembled at our
usual meeting place for the June Sunday Run. The weather was
delightful -- everything that you could want -- and most of the
convertibles were "top-down", ready to roll.
There were 19 vintage cars and 8 modern cars participated in today's run.

| Jane
Thomas' run took us along West Burnside, Marigold, Carey and Wilkinson to
West Saanich Road. Then we headed out to the Peninsula, along Old
W. Saanich, Oldfield to Keating X Road. We passed by farmland
along Veyaness. Then we zigzaged along E. Saanich, Hovey,
Wallace, E. Saanich again, round the roundabout onto Willingdon.
Eventually ending up on W. Saanich again, then to Mills Road, Galaran
Road and Henry Road -- to our destination: PROCOM POWDER COATING,
and the PHILOSOPHY OF OLD antique shop. |

|

|
Stu Palfrey Jr., owner of Procom Powder Coating, provided us with coffee and donuts to
refresh us before giving us a guided tour of the facility. We saw
many of their current projects in varying stages of completion --
including some that were literally "hot right out of the oven"!!
Don Stevens won the $100 gift certificate donated by Procom.
|
Many folks sauntered over to the Philosophy of Old to check the varied treasures on display.
It is always a treat to browse antique shops -- brings back so many memories of our childhood and growing-up years. |

Thanks to Jane Thomas for
organizing a
great run.
