It was another gorgeous
summer day for top-down cruising -- as
evidenced by the number of convertibles in attendance.

There
was a good turnout: 21 cars, of which 19 were vintage.
There were
17 memberships and 4 non-member cars, totalling 34 people.
Folks behaved themselves and
respected
the social distancing rules, as much as possible.

Because last month's run was not actually used,
Paul
Taylor reused it, with an addition at the end:
a drive-by had been organized at the
Trillium Westhore Village on Wale Road.

 |
The route followed West Burnside, through to the Island Hwy 1A.
Then we took Six Mile Rd. to Atkins Rd, to Winster Rd., Hoffman Ave.,
to Veterans Memorial Parkway. |
This becomes Millstream Road, and on to Bear Mountain Parkway. We went
up and over the mountain, via Players Drive, Spirit Ridge Road,
Nicklaus Drive and back to Bear Mountain Parkway. This becomes Leigh
Road.

|
At Westhills Stadium, we turned onto
Langford Parkway, then to Westshore Parkway all the way to Sooke Road.
We followed Sooke Road to Luxton Rd., Happy Valley Rd., Metchosin Rd.
and back to Sooke Road.
|
At Colwood Corners, we turned onto Goldstream Ave. and then onto Wale Road, which took us to the Trillium Westshore Village.
A number of residents were waiting outside to see the cars go by.
There was cold water available for anyone who wished to stop and chat
with the residents.
