Perhaps
if the weather had been a little more typical of a July Sunday, more
folks would have attended this special "Cars 'n' Cards" Poker Run.
Despite the small turnout, everyone seemed to enjoy the run.
There were eight Victoria Chapter members, along with six members of
the Victoria Cadillac Club, who had come to assist Brent with this
run. Three participants are actually members of both clubs and there were 5 vintage cars on the run. |
Due
to the small number of particpants, it was decided to just drive the
route and deal out the cards at the end. Brent's route included
the Marigold, Cordova Bay, Broadmead and Tattersal areas.
The destination was the ABC Restaurant on Maple Street. Folks
enjoyed their refreshments and the Poker hands were distributed and
compared.
Cadillac Club member, Dewane Ollech, had the winning hand; and VCCC
member, Richard Johnson, had the worst hand. This was considered
appropriate since Paul Taylor of the VCCC Victoria had previously won
the Cadillac Club's Poker Run!!
