The
lucky 13th Annual Ice Cream Run took place on a sunny Tuesday
evening. 25 members and their families met at McCall Bros.
Funeral Home parking lot. There was a total of 40 people, along
with 5 guests. 22 vintage cars particpated in this year's run.
This has always been one of the
Victoria Chapter's
favourite summer-time events.

The
Taylors' route took participants up Johnson St., onto Pandora Ave.,
Fort St. and Cadboro Bay Rd. It then meandered through Oak Bay --
on Bowker Ave., Hampshire Rd., Musgrave St., Dorest Rd., Nottingham
Rd. We then toured along Lansdowne Rd., Midland Rd., Beach Dr.,
Cadboro Bay Rd. again, Telegraph Bay Rd., Arbutus Rd. and finally to
Ferndale Rd.

Our
destination was the home of Jane & Gordie Thomas. They had
the ice cream ready, along with many delicious toppings and sprinkles!!
Folks brought out their chairs and blankets and warm jackets, because
whilst the evening was still sunny, the sea breeze was mighty
cool!! However, most folks were seen to be having a good time
anyway.

A hearty thank-you to Jane & Gordie Thomas for offering their garden and home to host this special event.
Also thanks once again to Paul and Liz
Taylor for organizing the car tour portion of this annual event.
