Paul Taylor had created an
interesting run called: Around the Circle & Over the Hill. This run was about 60 minutes and 20 miles long.
The weather was top-notch for a mid-Winter Sunday Run -- cold but sunny, and dry.
11 vintage cars and 11 modern cars participated, totalling 37 people.

This was the first run for
Heinz's latest acquisition .....
|

|
Paul's route started with a BIG circle: Burnside Rd. West,
McKenzie Ave., Carey Rd., back to Interurban Rd. Then, the route
followed Wilkinson Rd., which becomes Helmcken Rd. Across Highway
1, we navigated around two traffic circles on our way to the Island
Highway. The, along Six Mile Rd., Atkins Rd. to Silverstone
Way.

|
|
Then
it was up the HILL (part of Mill Hill) -- Nugget Terrace and Ruby Court
-- on our way to the top. Around the CIRCLE, to turn around and
come down the hill -- taking in the great views to the south and east.
Back
onto Atkins Rd., Selwyn Rd., Strandlund Rd. and onto Peatt Rd.
Two more CIRCLES -- on Brock Ave., and then onto Jacklin Rd.
|

|
|
Turning
onto Langford Parkway and around two more CIRCLES -- returning to
Langford Lake Rd. and up the HILL (Westhills), onto Alouette Dr.
Another CIRCLE at the bottom to Glen Lake Rd, Jenkins Ave. and Jacklin
Rd. Crossing Sooke Rd., and up the HILL (Triangle Mountain), for
more great panoramic views.
|
|
We travelled on Walfred Rd., Cuaulta Cres., Bexhill Rd. and Fulton
Rd. Then down the hill on Sunheights Dr., Desmond Dr. to Latoria
Rd, and onto to Happy Valley Rd.
The coffee stop had been planned for My-Chosen Cafe, but it turned out
that they were very, very busy and did not have room for us. A
few folks stayed and waited for a table.
Alternate plan was to go to Olympic View Golf Club -- 17 people enjoyed
a lovely coffee stop there -- quiet restaurant with beautiful views and
friendly staff.

Thanks to Paul Taylor for another "Taylor-made" run.
And a big thank you to everyone for their understanding and patience
with the unfortunate miscommunciation at the My-Chosen Cafe.
Our dedicated photographers have again shared their photos, to enable us to have a balanced photo gallery of this event -- Richard Johnson, Paul and Liz Taylor.
