On
what passes for a typical winter day in Victoria, we gathered at the
Pacific Forestry
Centre to prepare for our January Run. There was a beautiful rainbow,
bright sunshine and a rain shower at the start of the run; we also
experienced clouds
and rain -- a little bit of everything. However, the folks that
turned out enjoyed themselves. There was an average turn-out
of
37 people, representing 23 memberships and 12 vintage cars made the
tour.

Pete
and Terry Seward's route led us from the Forestry Centre out along
Marigold, Carey, Roy and Wilkinson Roads to Royal Oak. From there
the route took us through Beaver Lake Park, out West Saanich, Old West
Saanich, up Doyle, Forest Hill, Elkwood and back to Oldfield. We
then meandered through Keating, over the hill and around Buena
Vista/Bella Vista and around to Central Saanich. The route then
wandered along to Brentwood Bay and ended up at the Smitty's Restaurant
at Keating X Road.
