August
14, 2016, was a beautiful day for a Sunday Run -- warm and sunny.
A number of convertibles took advantage of this great weather to go
topless!!
However, there was a modest turnout of Chapter members: 13
vintage cars and 2 modern cars, for a total of 28 people.
Twenty-five people gathered for refreshments afterwards.

Harvey
Sherman's route followed West Burnside to Wilkinson, then onto
Interurban Road. We took a scenic circle along Hector and Conway,
back to Interurban. Goward Road took us passed Prospect Lake and
onto Prospect Lake Road. We headed out the Peninsula via West
Saanich, Sparton and Old West Road.
Then we skirted the site of the old Butler Airfield -- Verling, Bryn
and Sean Roads. Oldfield took us to Keating X Road, Veyaness and
East Saanich. Up and over Mt. Newton, via Haldon and Thompson
Roads.

Mt. Newton, West Saanich, McTavish, East Saanich, Wallace Drive and back to West Saanich -- then to our destination: Sassy's Family Restaurant, where a separate section had been reserved for our group.
This 29-mile route took almost 90 minutes.

A big thank-you to Harvey Sherman and Marc Brown for organizing this lovely August
Sunday Run.
Finally, thanks to our
dedicated photographers who have contributed to this report: Richard Johnson and Paul and Liz Taylor.
Here are photos of some of the convertibles
