The
weather was great for today's run -- the usual Victoria Spring Sunday
...... sunny and a little breezy. Just a teeny bit cool for
convertible, top-down driving, although there were several open cars on
tour anyway!!
There were 16 vintage cars on the tour, along with 3 modern vehicles --
totalling 34 people. Attendance was down a little, undoubtedly due to it being Easter Sunday.
The Easter Bunny made a cameo appearance with her basket of treats for everyone!! (Thank you, Jane!!)

Jane
Thomas' route was a lovely scenic drive, leaving the Pacific Forestry
Centre, heading to View Royal, via Tillicum and Craigflower Roads.
Then a circular tour of waterfront View Royal (View Royal Rd., Beaumont
Rd., Kerwood Rd. and Stewart Rd.) Back to the Old Island Hwy, via
View Royal Rd. and Helmcken Rd.

Through
Colwood and down to the Esquimalt Lagoon, for another scenic waterfront
drive. (Stunning views of the Olympic Mountains and Mt. Baker.)
Back up to Metchosin Rd. and then another circle route around Duke Road.
Back to Metchosin again and then along Pears Rd., Sundance Dr., and Glen Forest Way, to Happy Valley Rd.
Latoria Rd. took us to our destination: Olympic View Golf Course.
|
The golf course looked lovely and green, with spring flowers and blossoms on display.
Nineteen people stopped there for refreshments and fellowship, in the warm, sunny lounge.

Thank you to Jane Thomas for organizing this
beautiful run, arranging the coffee stop and
providing Easter treats.
