The
weather could not have been better. Beautiful, sunny and perfect
top down (cars, that is) conditions. A mid-summer day would not
have been better. |
Those in attendance were surprised at the modest turnout -- 12 vintage
car and 4 modern cars, with 27 people. It was supposed that the
good weather may have offered too many other opportunities for folks.

The
route provided by John was a leisurely drive, but at the same time,
mildly challenging, especially Munns Road and Millstream Road.
You have to love the road sign that advises: "Two Way Traffic,
One Lane Road".
|
Most of the participants have
driven those roads before, but the challenge is still there. Those big
trees projecting from the steep roadside cliffs ..... leaving that
countryside behind, we are quickly into Central Saanich and Brentwood
Bay and Saanichton. Then on to North Saanich, before reaching our
destination: JETSTREAM CUSTOM AUTO.

We were expected and our host gave
us a tour of this full-service shop for restorations, body and paint,
and mechanics. There were lots of cars in this multi-room shop, in
various stages of work.
|
Afterwards, folks gathered at Mary's Bleue Moon Cafe for refreshments and fellowship. |
