The
weather in the lead-up to Sunday's Run had been very wet and
windy. However, the actual rain held off for most of the run
itself. But, by the time the folks were leaving The Spitfire
Grill, it had turned nasty again.
Considering the
weather, the turnout was fine: there were approx. 35 people
participating in the run -- including 11 vintage cars and 6 modern
vehicles.
Special Valentine's treats were shared both at the meeting place, and at the restaurant!!

Heinz's
route took us out West Burnside, Wilkinson and West Saanich Roads.
Alsong Old West Saanich Road, back to West Saanich Road, and to the
Peninsula.
We meandered through Benvenuto, Garden Gate, Wallace and Mt. Newton
Cross Roads. Back to West Saanich Road, then to Lands End,
Chalet, Birch, Madrona and Downey Roads. Back to West Saanich
Road, and along Willingdon Road to our Coffee Stop.

It
was reported that some folks decided to try alternate routes -- I guess
their navigators lost their focus; or the special Valentine's treats
went to their heads!!
Thankfully, everyone did manage to end up
at the destination in time for coffee!!

The Spitfire Grill was our destination, where about 20 participants
visited and enjoyed a late afternoon snack or an early dinner.

Thanks to Heinz Mueller for organizing
another great Sunday Run.
